Fifteen years ago in March, Dennise McIntyre was invited to the first Animal Rescue Committee of Slave Lake (ARC) meeting. It wasn't called that yet. The Slave Lake Animal Rescue Committee held an adoption event on March 10. This is the second event the committee has held this year, so far. Animal Rescue Committee is a non-for- profit group of volunteers that work with the town to rescue homeless and abandoned animals in the community and surrounding areas.
